The name says it all really and at the Winery of Good Hope they aim to make ‘quality wines with a conscience’ and are able to deliver great wines at excellent value. The low yielding vines are grown at the Helderberg mountains and Robertson valley are are low trellised right on the Breede river where the soil is large, oval sandstone.

At the winery the grapes have minimum skin contact and only the free run juice (the first press juice) is stored for 6 months in stainless steel tanks on the lees and this lees contact  from the fresh fire run juice delivers crispy white fruit flavours, minerals and clean acidity from an unoaked chardonnay while having a nice depth of flavour from the lees.
