Wine Tasting at Glou Glou

Fancy trying some new wines but don't want to commit to a bottle? Our Wine tasting is the perfect evening out to try some new glasses. These tastings take place every first Wednesday of the month and follow a different theme.

June - Midsummer Solstice, the longest day of the year happening this month...introducing you to the start of summer. 

July - Aphrodisiacs, exploring wines that have the flavour profile of aphrodisiac food think strawberries, chocolate, fruity roses, deep reds and whites with a smooth minerality. 

August - Ferragosto, exploring Southern Italy with the celebration of Ferragosto. 

September - Equinox, september signifies the end of summer and changing of the seasons giving you a selection of wines to take with you into the colder months. 

October - (Re)Discover, looking at South Africa and South America bringing wines that perhaps havent been as looked at as they should have been. 

November - Revisite, beaujolais nouveau month is here! revisiting the french classics...with a twist

December - Christmas

Tickets are 32.50 each and include 5 naturally delicious wines, locally sourced meats, cheese as well as a selection of bread. 

These tastings are held at Glou Glou, 17a Castle Gates in Shrewsbury, starting at 7pm and finishing by 9pm. However, the bar is open from 4 - 11pm so there's plenty of time for another glass. All wines used in the tasting will be available to buy if it becomes one of your favourites!
