Filippo Filippi has firm roots in Castelcerino as his family have been in the region since the 1300’s, and just as the region and the terroir are in his bones, he creates wines with the same qualities. He practises biodynamic and organic principles to bring low yielding garganega that retains all the flavours Soave should be.
Sets the bar for Soave. Like that one you had in that little bar in Verona with the most amazing bowl of pasta.

Soave is another wine region almost destroyed by its own reputation. There’s oceans of dull stuff around, made by cutting costs and corners to fulfill demand, but wines like this are exciting, complex and delicious wines worth every penny.

We opened Cantina Filippi’s Castelcerino Soave for our “Volcano” tasting in early March '22. Grown on volcanic soils it is nervy, herbal, precise. So good.
