Triangle Wines, Calco Pinot Noir, Limari Valley, Coquimbo, Chile

A pure coastal Pinot Noir from Triangle Wines and the De Martino family. The grapes are carefully sourced from plots in the Limarí Valley with plenty of cooling influence from the Pacific which delays ripening giving a longer steady growing season. The grapes are gently crushed, 30% of which are left whole bunch, and fermented with natural yeasts in 1,000L vats before aging for 12 months in neutral oak. Expect juicy raspberry and cherry notes with crisp acidity, fine chalky tannins and a touch of forest floor.
