East of Venice, towards Slovenia lies the region of Friuli Grave, a land between the Carnic Mountains and the sea, the Gulf of Trieste, with deep alluvial soils, a climate well suited to viticulture and a wealth of indigenous grape varieties. The Stocco family have been farming and making wine here for at least four generations, focusing on the local varieties but also working with some international grapes. 

This Malvasia is straw yellow in colour, dry with hints of exotic fruits and spice. Perfect with soups or seafood but equally well enjoyed on its own.
