Wine has been grown at Staffelter Hof for millennia however it has been in the current family since the 17th century and 4 generations of Kleine’s now reside there. Gird takes care of the vines and his son Jan Matthias who specialised in wine marketing and business administration is the new driving force. 2011 saw the move to organic viticulture and with that they are producing serious award winning wines as well as curve balls... yet more things that make you stop and stare a little too long!
