Quinta das Maias is a father and son operation found in the wild and rugged foothills of the Serra de Estrela mountain range. The Quinta's name is named after the month of May when the Weaver's Broom (with the same name, Maia) flowers, painting the hillside yellow. The vines were first planted in 1893 but the estate was bought by the Lourenço family in 1997 who have since converted to certified organic and regeneratively farmed vineyards. 

The Blanco is a blend of Malvasia fina and Encruzado grown at 300-450metres above sea level in a sun trap basin surrounded by mountains. Fresh, elegant and structured white bursting with sunny citrus and white flowers.
