Pie Franco, Cabernet Sauvignon, Colchagua Valley, Chile

Unoaked Cabernet Sauvignon from the Colchagua Valley. Grown on 80 year old, ungrafted vines. The grapes are hand harvested then transported to the winery where spontaneous fermentation with natural yeasts take place in stainless steel before a further 12 months aged in tank, then bottled, unfined and unfiltered. Blackberry and black plum dominate the nose with a hint of mint while the palate brings a refreshing acidity and finely woven tannins.
