Metic, Carmenere, Valle del Colchagua, Chile

'Metic' is an Ancient Greek term for a foreigner living in Athens, someone who contributed to the cultural and economic life but did not have the same rights as a true citizen. Inspired by the famous song 'Le Métèque' by Georges Moustaki, Luca Hodgkinson, a French/Spanish/English expat who also consults for many wineries in Chile, has created a range of wines under the Metic label using grapes sourced from sustainably and organically managed vineyards and made with minimal intervention in the winery.

As an 'outsider' in Chile, Luca has used his skill, experience and connections to make something exceptional.
