With Alejandro Sejanovich at the helm and getting his hands dirty, Manos Negras is leading the way in modern wine producers in Argentina who specialise at latitude winemaking as well as his ground breaking research into Mendoza Malbec clones. Altamira has Mendoza's most unique soil profile with sandy, silty and stony soils all present in the same vineyard and Artesano is made with grapes grown at 1200 mars altitude in the Andes. The Malbec is then blended with touches of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot before spending 15 months in oak bringing a wine with bags of bold, New World power and floral notes
