'Enter > Exit' Zine by Levi Thomas
On Thursday 8th August 2024 we launched a small photographic exhibition by our good pal and sharp shooter, Levi Thomas whose work you'll most certainly be familiar with from GlouGlou's instagram and beyond. This collection explores escapism and nature where it should not be. Make sure to head down to Glou to have a gander accompanied by a glass of Austrian wine while it's up for the next month and grab a zine while you're at it.
Behind the name -
The trip began in Greece and ended in Austria. Originally the book / zine was going to be titled the Greek work for "Enter" (pronounced baíno) and the German/Austria word for "Exit" (Ausgang pronounced as OWSgahng) to represent the journey's start and end points. I later decided against this, but kept the English name as it still encapsulates the process and thematic approach throughout.
The process -
To avoid complicating things and to make this process more of a method of expression, I shot everything featured with two point-and-shoot film cameras. This approach allowed me to focus mostly on the subject matter and less on the technicalities, retaining a candid, raw and real feeling in the images.
