Chateau Clement Termes, Petits Clements, Merlot Duras, South West, France
Château Clément Termes has been producing wines in the Gaillac region of south west France for over 150 years. Caroline and Olivier David are the seventh generation to run the domaine. On the right bank of the river Tarn, between Albi and Toulouse, the vineyards lie on the edge of the Gaillac plateau. Using traditional, local grape varieties such as Braucol and, in this case Duras, as well as more well known international varieties, they make wines which are brightly ripe and fruity but retain aromatic freshness. This wine is lovely to drink now, one for enjoying with some richer white meat, pork or chicken, or with some turkey or goose.
