The Lavradores de Feitoria is a true cooperative. Founded in 2000, it consists of 20 like-minded farmers and growers, all of whom are shareholders giving them a vested interest in striving for quality fruit to be able to make authentic blends of the Douro region. They do all this with a passion for community and sustainability, so much so that they've created their own certification, pioneering for a sustainable future of the region which is a challenging and expensive place to grow grapes with incredibly steep slopes and terraces that demand regular upkeep and the majority of tasks to be done by hand.
Their Tinto is a blend of native grapes taken across three of the Douro sub-regions, Baixo Corgo, Cima Corgo and Douro Superior. The blend is produced from their youngest vines and aged in stainless steel, championing a vibrant, fresh and fruity character. Expect dark cherries, blackberrys and soft, velvety tannins.
