Hailing from the same co operative as the Calvese we now get to try an Aglianico from the Sannio hills, the most famous local varietal from a long list of grapes found in Campania. Aglianico is found almost exclusively in Campania and Basilicata and has retained all the rustic flavours you would expect while also being a little lighter with softer tannins, it is an Italian red that can be enjoyed in all seasons. Perfect with salami, cold cuts and garden nibbles or rich enough for a hearty pasta dish or game.
