Domaine la Calmette is a great example of the kind of producers we love to work with. While Maya Sallée & Nicolas Fernandez farm organically and biodynamically and make wine in a low intervention manner, which may be perceived by some as just avoiding work, what it actually means, when it is done well, is working a lot and staying acutely aware of the impact of everything that is done in both the vineyard, surrounding land and in the winery. The results are wines that are full of energy, balanced and very drinkable - naturally delicious.
