Efthymios Apotolidis planted the first vineyard in the village of Dialekto, Kavala in the foothills of the Macedonian mountain basin, North East Greece in 1958. Today, the third generation of Apostilidis, Vasiliki and Efthymios have taken the reigns of the domaine where they now have 16 hectares of vines which are all Demeter certified biodynamic and a state of the art winery which is open to visitors if you're in the area.

Their vineyard, Lofos is just 200m from the river Nestos at only 60m above sea level where the Greek variety, Vidiano is grown on solid limestone. The grapes are hand picked and meticulously sorted at the winery before destemmin, crushing and pressing. This is followed by spontaneous wild fermentation and five months ageing on the lees split between stainless steel (60%), 1250L barrel (30%) and amphora (10%). Structured and complex, expect aromas of peach and apricot with great acidity and freshness, melon and spice on the palate.
