Franco Rocca, "Monbrichè" Dolcetto d'Alba DOC, Piedmont, Italy

Franco Rocca and his wife Susan have 4.5 hectares of vines in the rolling hills of Neive in Piedmont where they focus on the typical red varieties of the Langhe; Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo. They do so with great care and patience, aiming to achieve the highest quality grapes over high yields. This results in smaller productions per cuvée, but ones worth waiting for. These are wines to be savoured and appreciated.

This is a bright and lively Dolcetto from single vineyard, 'Monbrichè" with aromas of cherry, blackberry red currant and floral accents of violet and cyclamen. A choclately fruit bomb with fresh almond and sour cherry on the palate. Intense and elegant with a beautiful structure.
