Foradori, Lezèr, 2021, Vigneti delle Dolomiti, Trento - Alto Adige, Italy

Since we first drank this several years ago now, we’ve eagerly awaited each new vintage. Pale in colour but deep in flavour, it’s not sure if it’s a rosé or red but really it’s in a class of its own. Made by Elisabetta Foradori from local grape Teroldego with just a couple of days skin contact it’s unique, exciting and delicious.

The first vintage was made as a necessity, a bit of an experiment as to how to deal with some hail damaged grapes. But it was so good it’s become a regular feature. This year it is a blend of Teroldego and several other local varieties.

Juicy red fruits, light on its feet, touches of spice, an amazing expression of the mountain vineyards of Trentino Alto Adige.
