Fedellos is a project run created by Curro Barreño and Jesús Olivares. Both ore originally from the Gredos region but for Fedellos they work in two areas of Ribeira Sacra, on terraces along the steep slopes of the rivers Sil and Bibei, planted with a myriad of grape varieties, altitudes, and expositions. On these steep sites all work is by hand - you couldn't do otherwise on these steep terraces! The wines are fermented with indigenous yeasts, at low temperatures to favour a gentle extraction of colour and phenolics. They are then aged in old barrels and are bottled unfined, unfiltered and with the addition of low quantities of sulphur. All the wines share an Atlantic freshness and a slatey minerality that make these wines unmistakably Galician.

Conasbrancas is a blend of local varieties, starting with lightly crushed whole bunches in tank and the pressing as soon as fermentation kicks off when the juice is moved to a large oak barrel resulting in a lovely wine a touch salty, touch of lemon pith fruit and touch of skins texture. Brilliant with fish.
