Envinate, Albahra MAGNUM, Almansa, Castilla La Mancha, Spain

This wine is made from Garnacha Tintorera, a red juice, red fleshed varietal, a very rare thing, that gives loads of fruit and colour without the wine becoming too heavy. Produced by one of our favourite winemaking teams, Envinate, from vineyards at around 800 metres asl in Almansa, over towards the mediterranean coast. It’s made with around 40% whole bunches, the rest crushed as usual, in concrete tanks to give a more fruit forward style. Appealingly ripe, earthy and approachable it’s great with a wide range of foods. Drink now or keep happily for a couple of years.
