You’ll find Domaine de Valero’s around the pretty seaside village of Collioure right on the Franco Spanish border. Grapes grown here are some of the lowest yields in France which create wines of great quality. They’re grown on steep terraces of schist which can only be worked by hand, not dissimilar to those of the Douro. By law, grapes destined for Banyuls must conatain a potential of 254g of sugar per litre.

Great to drink with chocolate..but also with blue cheese, desserts with red fruit compote, duck with figs...
