Deborah and Paul Old, Project 108, Vin de France, Languedoc

Paul Old is an ex-dancer who fell in love with Corbieres, particularly the potential of old vine Carignan, retrained as a winemaker when his body "began to fall apart" and started Les Clos Perdus back in 2003. Project 108 is Paul's 'zero zero' side project. The 2018 red was made with organically grown, handpicked, 100+ year old Carignan and 45 y.o. Mourvedre grapes, zero-sulphites, minimal intervention in the cellar. Richly fruity, herbal, pure, clean but with wild edge which makes it exciting.
