Cesar Florido, Moscatel Dorado, Jerez, Spain (37.5cl)

Bodegas Cesaar Florido is a fifth generation producer, with the sixth waiting in the wings to take over the reins. Based in Chipiona the bodega lies a little outside the classic Sherry triangle though in some ways this has been to their advantage, during the trials and tribulations Sherry over the last few decades. Their warehouses lie right on the coast though, literally metres from the sea, and they source grapes from some of the very finest vineyards in Jerez.

This is a lovely sweet wine, perfect for desserts, maybe a basque cheesecake. It has a slightly salty tang, having been matured so close to the sea, which makes it even more moreish!
