Cascina Degli Ulivi has been at the forefront of Biodynamic farming since the 70's with Stefan Bellotti being one of the forefathers of the movement in Italy, taking on the estate at the age of 18 in 1977. Stefano sadly passed away in 2018 but her daughter Ilaria has taken the reigns and is carrying on her father's legacy, crafting wines with great care and respect.

Le Mat du Raisin is an even split of Barbera and Dolcetto from 60 year old prized vines that would usually be used for their top single varietal labels, but with 2020's vintage not being quite perfect, they've been blended together to make this beautiful wine full of crunchy black fruits. Unfined and unfiltered, it's got plenty of haze and a super dry finish. Best drunk with a hearty ragu.
