Bodegas Pirineos is a cooperative winery, with over 100 members, making wine from vineyards in Somontano, a region in the foothills of the Spanish Pyrenees. Although little known as a wine producing region in the UK the climate and soils of Somontano are ideal for producing quality wines that have plenty of fruit character with a welcome degree of freshness and lift. 

Moristel is a grape variety unique to the region, producing a wine that has moderately intense colour, aromas of fruits of the forest, bright and long on the palate. Ideal with matured cheeses, game and rich stews.
