When we think of Sicily and white wine, we instantly think of Grillo, the islands most famous white varietal, a perfumed richness and. hint of spice sings of Sicily and all it's goodness.
Baglio Gibellina's vineyards are surrounded by the hills of Salemi and Santa Ninfa. Old vineyards located between 300-600m above sea level are grown on a mixture of clay and volcanic soils. The grapes are hand harvested at the end of August before fermentation occurs in small, temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. This wine is robust and great with food from fish dishes such as tuna or swordfish or spicy, meaty dishes.
