“Queen of Swords” Chardonnay and “The Empress” Pinot Noir are tiny production wines made using organically grown fruit from Marlborough’s Wrekin vineyard* by Ashley Barrowman who gained wide experience working with some of our favourite producers around the world; Vino di Anna in Sicily, Patrick Sullivan in Australia, Domaine Labet, Jean-Jacques Morel et al.

With beautiful balance, fine texture, and amazing complexity they are great examples of what can be produced from New Zealand’s unique soils and climate.

we couldn't resist looking at these wines when we saw the local connection, the Wrekin being Shropshire’s most recognised hill. Happily we weren’t disappointed!
