Antonio Camillo, Mediterraneo Rosso, Tuscany, Italy
Antonio has a long history in the wine industry, including working as cellar master for Poggio Argentiera. When he decided it was time to do his own thing his own way he purchased two very old vineyards on the border of Lazio, between Sovana and Pitigliano, an area that has been making outstanding wines since the time of the Etruscans. His five hectares of vineyards are spread over various soil types and different micro-climates, but all influenced by the coastal breezes and tempering influence of the Mediterranean sea.
This is a juicy red with mediterranean fruits on the nose as the name would suggest. Herbaceous, vibrant with a fleshy texture. Perfect red for some sunshine.
