Michael and Melanie left their corporate jobs behind and started making wine in Michael’s parents’ winery in 2013. After discovering their taste for natural wine, they converted the 6 hectare vineyard to organic practices. They've developed 2Naturkinder, a repertoire of wild delights which are hand-harvested, indigenous-yeasts vinification without sulphur and unfiltered.

The Wilde Meute (translating to 'wild pack') is Michael and Melanie's skin contact blend mostly of Bacchus and Silvaner with a splash of Muller-Thurgau. Each variety is vinified separately, the grapes are destemmed and spend about a week on the skins before finishing fermentation in stainless steel. The Bacchus remains in steel for ten months on the lees whilst the Silvaner and Muller-Thurgau continues their journey in Franconian oak.

Expect tart citrus notes from the Bacchus alongside a herbal body and mineral backbone from the Silvaner as well as a slight reductive character from the Muller-Thurgau.
