Taking it one glass at a time

Taking it one glass at a time

“Better to drink one or two glasses of good wine than a bottle of something meh” says Alice Lascelles in the Financial Times. Ok, so we’re paraphrasing a little but we couldn’t agree more, and drinking by-the-glass gives you the chance to explore.

You can definitely go on a wine adventure with what we’ve got on by the glass at ur bars PetitGlou and over the other side of town at GlouGlou. Some fresh and easy, some more complex and serious (if that’s a sensible word to use about wine which is after all supposed to be fun). And some are special treats, served using our trusty Coravin. And our by-the-glass programme changes constantly so there is always something new to discover.

Add some English or Welsh cheese, local cured meats, house made breads or one of the Glou classics and your afternoon or evening are made.

Find PetitGlou on the gallery level of Shrewsbury Market Hall next to our specialist wine shop, and GlouGlou on Castle Gates, between the library and the railway station.

Of course, sharing a bottle between friends is still one of life's great pleasures, so we're not giving up on that yet!
