This year’s Beaujolais Nouveau arrives Thursday, 17th November, the first wine from this year’s harvest in Europe, always released on the third Thursday of November.
This year it’s looking pretty great too, with a hot summer and rain just in time, promising a wine that’s ripe and full of fruit.
This year we have two to try; Chateau Cambon, made by Marie Lapierre, Beaujolais royalty, one of the people who led the natural revolution and put Beaujolais back on the map for quality wine production. And Selene, made by Mathilde Sothier & Sylvère Trichard.
Sylvère worked with winemaking legends Dominique Belluard in the Savoie and Jean-Claude Lapalu back home in Beaujolais before taking over his family domaine.
This is our kind of harvest festival!
Find it in store next Thursday and in by the glass at GlouGlou and PetitGlou.
Salut!
