It’s not all about the big bucks and the hard to find, the thrill of the new or the esoteric. Cuvée des Galets from Les Vignerons d’Estezargues, a pioneering cooperative winery in the Southern Rhône, has been a fixture on our shelves since pretty much day 1.
Nice to see it chosen by Hannah Crosbie, The Guardian’s wine critic as her “most beloved and undervalued” bottle in the latest Noble Rot magazine. She goes on to say that best of all, at time of writing, it’s to found at under £15 a bottle. Rest assured it is still is, with us at least.
Find it in the shop in Shrewsbury Market Hall and online at ironandrose.com.
