On the first Wednesday of each month we hold a tutored tasting at GlouGlou, our Enoteca Wine Bar on Castle Gates. Each month follows a different theme. Our next tasting, on 7th October, will be presented by Robin, chief wine geek, and we’re hoping a guest speaker from Bulgaria too, exploring the wines of central Europe, fast becoming a lively hub for natural and organic wine. There is a generation of winegrowers across Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Slovakia and Greece making terroir-driven, low-intervention wines, blending old vineyard traditions and varieties with forward thinking techniques and attitudes.
