Viñedos de Alcohuaz, Tococo, Elqui Valley, Chile

Alcohuaz is a little village located 2200metres in the Elqui valley, a valley rich in volcanic soils and rich in granite. Alvaro and son, Patricio are the masterminds behind the project, however they needed expert help and pulled injury Luis Huerta and his wife Helia Rojas as well as Chile's most experienced, Artisan winemaker, Marcel Retamal.

Tococo is a single vineyard and is named after a local bird which resides there, 100% Syrah which is foot trodden with a wild yeast ferment before aging for 23 months in 2500 litre foudre.
