Vinhal has been producing high quality coffees in the Cerrado Mineiro region of Brazil since 1988. The award-winning, family-run business strives to produce coffees that stand out in both the domestic and international markets, often experimenting with processes to create unique aromas and flavours.

Operating from two farms, Recanto and Estrela, Vinhal operates within a strong framework that governs aspects such as environmental conservation and sustainable production, as well as ensuring good social and working practices for its employees.

Vinhal is a member of the Brazil Specialty Coffee Association (BSCA), and is certified by the Rainforest Alliance, 4C (The Common Code for the Coffee Community) and Certifica Minas.

Once the cherries are harvested, they are washed to select the ripest cherries, before going through dry aerobic fermentation for 48 hours. These cherries go through a Thermal Shock process before being de-pulped, then fermented in an anoxic environment with water for 179-hours. After this, they are centrifuged and dried on raised beds for 21 days.
