Delaforce has been a name in Port production since the 1830’s and although the original family is no longer involved it is now owned and run by Real Companhia Velha, which has over 250 years of uninterrupted activity in the Port wine trade.

This wine is a classic. Late Bottled Vintage (LBV) is a style created to give a flavour of long bottle matured wines without the wait. So, while is is from a single vintage and therefore, from producers like Delaforce, there is some variation between years, it is kept in barrel for longer than full-fat vintage Ports in order to be more drinkable young. While Port shouldn’t be just for Christmas, Christmas is a great excuse to open a bottle and the perfect opportunity to spend a bit of time relaxing with a glass of this deliciously sweet but complex wine.

Deep and dark in colour, Delaforce Vintage Port is brimming with blackcurrant and dark red berry fruits. It'll go great with blue cheese, mature cheddar, nuts, and chocolate desserts.
