The Jura region of France is hilly, a bit damp, but incredibly beautiful. It's also the source of some of the countries most remarkable wines. Wines that are making it onto the best restaurant wine lists in the world. 

Marie-Pierre Chevassu-Fassenet is one of the very few 'vigneronnes' or female winegrowers in the region, managing a small 4.5ha estate in Chateau-Chalon from the vines to the cellar to the sales with a little help from her family.  

Marie-Pierre's Chardonnay was produced using the sous voile method which encourages a cultured yeast to form which brings a hint of the classic oxidative character and brings out the minerality of the marl soil. Bags of soft creamy and floral flavours along with green fruits and a well rounded finish.
